Show held at Mendham High School on a March weekend; March 22nd
and 23rd this year. The Mendham Business Association sponsors
a holiday season Holly Walk with merchants offering refreshments

The
area has a long history dating back to when the Lenni-Lenape Indians
migrated to New Jersey from the "North Country" crossing
the Mississippi River. Though the exact time the Lenni-Lenape
Indians settled here is uncertain, people have lived in New Jersey
for at least ten-thousand years.
In
1745, Ebenezer Byram gave the town the name of "Mendham"
which included both Mendham Borough and Township. Mendham Borough
and Mendham Township split into two towns on May 15, 1906 when
Mendham Borough was incorporated. This was done mainly due to
issues with supplying water and the need for water to protect
the town from fire. Generally, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township
are still referred to collectively as "Mendham."
