Washington Township, New Jersey

 
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP is the western most township of Morris County. "Sections" of the township include Long Valley, Schooley’s Mountain, Stephensburg, Drakestown, Middle Valley, Naughright, Fairmount and Pleasant Grove. Settled in approximately 1730 by German immigrants, and officially established in 1798, the area retains much of it’s European heritage. Approximately 17,600 people reside in Washington Township’s 44.4 square miles.
